Welcome to the

Dear Members & Friends,

Wow, what a long cold winter! It reminds me of the winters we used to have growing up. I could have actually gone ice skating about any day I wanted to, but being the age I am and no ice skates, I guess I will just hunt, and it sure beats playing hockey with sticks and a rock puck. With only two more months in this season, we still have lots of pheasants, and a few quail & chukar.

Waterfowl: There have not been many waterfowl hunters. The geese were landing on the Shea place in December & January and on the cornfield on the Loveless place after New Year’s. The Gore place has had ducks and geese harvested.

Member Steve Yates and his new pup named Spook, with their limit of geese by 8:30 at the Loveless cornfield on Jan. 19th.

Members Mike McCormick and
Justin McCormick on the ends, brought their friend Mitch on Jan.9th and harvested 17 out of 15 pheasants.

Minor Month: February is always minor month here at UHC. Bring someone under the age of 18 and get 10% off total bill.

European Style Hunts: With a lot of pheasants left, we will offer Euro hunts any Sunday in March. We need 4-6 guns & throw out 10 birds per gun for $175 per gun. These are always a good time for both the hunters and the throwers. You get shots at every bird and then you go hunt the ones you missed. Everyone really enjoys these! So call as soon as possible so we can accommodate anyone who wishes to do this.

We are down on hunter numbers by 20% this year. I hope it is just the economy!

Go Saints!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May 2010 be better than 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Larry
